 The name 'VECCHIA TRATTORIA' means 'Old Restaurant' in Italian and derives from a rustic eating place of humble origins where, in days gone by, travellers of all kinds would call for good, wholesome food and wine, simply prepared and served.
Nowadays the word 'Trattoria' has come to typify a restaurant in the town or countryside where the emphasis is on traditional fare following tried and tested recipes - some well known, some less so.
